First Impressions
When you start the unboxing of this smartphone, we would see Narzo 10, protective silicon case, 18 Watt fast charger, USB-C cable and documentation. This phone is available in two colors- That Green and That White. The phone looks good with stripes on its back adding to its appeal. Its design is inspired by the Realme X2 Pro Master Edition. Its the first smartphone in India to launch with MediaTek G80 chipset. It is a gaming centric chip that handles GPU and CPU efficiently in this price range. It is available in only variant 4GB RAM+128GB ROM possibly to reduce the conflict from already existing range of Realme smartphones.
Design and Display
It is a 6.5" HD+ (720p) display. That's sad considering that many phones in the same range have Full HD display. Narzo 10 is designed by the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. With an aspect ratio of 20:9 it complies with the current trend of 2020 smartphones. The phone weighs 200g mainly to its large battery (5000 mAh). Realme has used Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the display of this smartphone. Fingerprint sensor is placed on the back of the smartphone as is the case with the traditional smartphones. The smartphone is made from plastic from both front and back. Overall Realme Narzo 10 is having a decent design.
Performance and Software
Performance wise the phone was is powered by Helio G80 processor. Switching between apps is quite smooth and all apps including Chrome, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter works well. From gaming point on view you can play PUBG in Balanced + Ultra or HD + High (Maximum Graphics). The gameplay is good with occational lags in the above mentioned settings. The phone does not get too much warm during usage which is good. You will be able to graphic intensive games at medium settings.
Narzo 10 comes with the latest Android 10 out of the box. It is accompanied by the company's Realme UI. Realme UI does offer a lot of preinstalled apps which you might find useful. There are some useful features like pure black display, smart sidebar and simpler notfication toggles. Though Realme UI has its demerits like having ads and sending frequent notifications which can disabled from settings.
Cameras
The phone is powered by quad camera setup with 48 MP primary camera. In addition to this, it has 8 MP Ultrawide, 2 MP fixed focus micro lens and 2 MP depth sensor. Images taken from Narzo 10 have ample amount of details in light. In night or in the conditions where there is low light the camera struggles to capture decent pictures most of the time. Even the night mode is not that good compared to other Realme devices. It is recommended that you prevent using ultrawide mode in dark.
Front camera is 16 MP f/2.0 shooter and takes decent selfies. Portraits are okay which are taken with help of computational photography. Videos can be captured in Full HD in 30fps (No 60fps).
Battery life and Charging Speed
Narzo 10 comes with a massive battery life of 1.5-2 days on moderate usage. This is mainly because of it battery capacity(5000 mAh) and HD+ display which saves on power. The device takes around 2 hour 20 minutes to charge from 0-100%.
Where to Buy
Final Verdict
Realme Narzo 10 is aimed for smartphone gamers who want a big battery life. Though the device looks good on paper but it has its own competitors including Realme 6 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Its design is one of the USP of this device.
You can buy this device if you fall in any of these categories. If you are looking for amazing camera performance or a full HD display then sorry this device is not for you.
